Financial support for education

Employees enrolled in Danish Education under the Danish Education Act may be eligible for SVU, which can help cover lost work time during training.

We’re happy to support both you and your employees through the application process. Key eligibility criteria include:

  • The employee must be at least 18 years old
  • Must have been employed with you for at least 26 weeks
  • Must work at least 18 hours per week
  • Must have legal residence in Denmark
  • Must attend at least 3 hours of training per week
  • Training must take place during working hours
  • The employee must have MitID, and your company must be registered for MitID Erhverv
  • Planning requires knowledge of vacation periods 3–4 months in advance

If you have an employee who has been employed for more than 26 weeks and wants to start Danish courses, please contact Lolland Language School at sprogskole@lolland.dk

The process varies depending on whether your employee is already taking Danish classes or will be starting Danish for the first time. Once you write to us, we will work with you to find a solution.
