From January 2026, Lolland Language School will offer adult education in Danish, reading, spelling, English, IT, and mathematics.
What is Preparatory Adult Education (PAE/FVU)?
FVU is for those who want to strengthen their skills for everyday life, work and the future and improve their Danish, reading, spelling, English, IT and mathematics.
FVU is free of charge and designed for participants with Danish as a second language. Classes are held in small groups and adapted to your individual level. A course typically lasts 4–6 months.
Please call Lolland Language School if you would like to take a course, and we will contact you after November 1st to arrange a screening.
We Offer the Following Courses
- FVU Start is for those who would like to improve their Danish speaking skills.
- FVU Reading is for those who would like to improve their Danish reading, spelling, or writing skills.
- FVU English is for those who want to strengthen their basic English skills.
- FVU Mathematics is for those who want to improve their math skills.
- FVU-Digital is for those who want to enhance their foundational IT skills.
Admissions Requirements
- You must be at least 25 years old.
- You must have completed a Danish Education program, DU1, DU2, or DU3.
- You must complete a screening that includes a test and an interview to assess whether the course is the right option for you and which level you should start at.
Course Schedule and Location
- FVU courses are taught at both of Lolland Language School locations in Nakskov and in Maribo.
- We offer a variety of teaching options in the morning, afternoon, and evening.
- Registered students will be notified via SMS in December with further details about their course, teacher, schedule, and location.
- Course textbooks are free of charge, but students are responsible for their own computer, notebook, pencil, and eraser.
